Quote requests: When you submit a quote request, we collect your name, email address, company name, phone number, and the details of your request (material, quantity, shipping preferences).

Listing claims: When you claim a supplier or broker listing, we collect your work email address to verify your identity.

Usage data: We may collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps for security and analytics purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

To process and fulfill quote requests
To verify listing claims via email
To send transactional emails related to your requests
To improve the Service and prevent abuse
To comply with legal obligations

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only in these limited cases:

With suppliers: When you request a quote, your contact details and request specifications are shared with matched suppliers so they can respond.
Service providers: We use Resend for transactional email and Cloudflare for infrastructure. These providers process data on our behalf under data processing agreements.
Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

4. Data Retention

Quote requests are retained for 30 days by default. Claim verification tokens expire after 24 hours. Email addresses collected for claim verification are retained as part of the listing record as proof of ownership.

5. Cookies and Tracking

Import Gateway does not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or similar tracking technologies. Standard server logs are retained for 30 days for security purposes.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Request access to personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data (subject to legal obligations)
Object to processing of your data

7. Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information. Data is stored on Cloudflare D1 (SQLite) infrastructure with access controls. Verification tokens are cryptographically random and time-limited.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will update the “Last updated” date when we do. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
